SM-ART
Federatia Organizatiilor Ramnicene de Tineret, Educatie si Sport (F.O.R.T.E.S.) organizes an youth exchange, that is a part of a youth project called ,,Choose SMART, Choose ART’’, in Ramnicu Sarat, Romania from 25.10.2014 to 02.11.2014. The theme of the project is preventing and abating drug amongst youngsters, by offering a healthy and creative alternative: art and sport. The project will be developed for 14 months, between October 2014 to November 2015 involving promoters from 6 countries: Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Italy, Malta and Romania. The youth exchange addresses to 36 youngsters with ages between 16 and 19 years, along with 6 group leaders. Some of the youngster will come from vulnerable social and/or economic environments, which could make them take bad decisions, like using illegal drugs.
The main objectives are:
1) Raising the degree of awareness of the target group, regarding the danger of using illegal drugs, through activities developed with the help of non-formal education activities, in the youth exchange period.
2) Raising the level of involvement in artistic activities.
3) Increasing the sporting abilities of the target group, for recreation and spending free time in a healthy way, trough sport.
We will reach this goals through non-formal activities, such as: forum theaters, role playing, games, team-buildings, trust-buildings, visits to CPECA (Antidrug institution from BUZAU, Romania), but also media activities, dance and theatre workshops, which will create a final show, named ,,Art not Drugs’’, held at the municipal Culture Hall, in front of a target group of youngsters from the local high school, volunteers, but also parents, teachers and people from the local community.
On Sunday, 12 October 2014 the target group with others volunteers gave flyers trough the town to people as part of a visibility action and explained them the objectives of the project and promoted the European Union and ERASMUS+ image.
